Tomeček and Rubena defend Gold medal
The crew of Tomáš Tomeček and navigator, Vojtěch Morávek fought their way to first place at the Africa Eco Race 2012. In the competing vehicle, the TATRA 815 Dakar 2TOR45, furnished with bellow spring suspension and Rubena hoist bags, Tomáš Tomeček completed the over five thousand kilometre long course leading through France across Spain, Morocco and Mauritania to Dakar in Senegal. The extremely demanding off-road conditions provided proof of the riders experience as well as the first-rate quality of Rubena products.
After fourteen days of racing, Tomáš Tomeček got to defend his victory from last year among trucks, and in the absolute rankings of the categories, without exception, he took second place behind the legendary, Jean Louis Schlesser.
