RUBENA on the road to Dakar
After a press conference on 15.12.2010 at the legendary headquarters of the Czech AutoClub in Prague, test driver and racing driver, Tomáš Tomeček, launched his journey to Dakar. The Africa Eco Race starts on 28th December from Narbonne the South of France and leads to Dakar in West Africa on the 9th of January.
Several exceptionally hard stages lead through the desert and rocky mountain ranges of Morocco, Mauretania and Senegal, putting the RUBENA air spring bellows, fitted to Tomáš Tomeček’s TATRA 815 works truck, to the ultimate test.
RUBENA, a traditional producer of rubber-textile products, occupies a significant position on the world market for air spring bellows. Testing these products in extremely demanding conditions during motor sport competitions suitably complements standard testing at the RUBENA research and development centre.
