RUBENA DAMS HELP IN AFRICA

Last year, RUBENA supplied two sections of rubber dams to Algiers. This was the first-ever supply of RUBENA dams to the African continent. The bag dams help create a self-regulating water reservoir on the watercourse of the SEBGAD river for irrigation of agricultural land in the areas below the dam. The constructed water project with a width of 50 meters and a height of 3 meters (holding over 5 million m3 of water) does not disrupt the character of the landscape with high, aboveground structures and has no negative impact on the environment.
RUBENA has long been the world leader on the market of rubberized fabric products. The RUBENA bag dam, as a modern type of movable and fully automated structure used for raising water levels, is a product with a high multi-functional use value. These dams will without a doubt, help in the future to better control water problems on the African continent.
