MITAS Tubeless Tire Launched At the Motocykl 2009 Fair

MITAS a.s./CGS TYRES introduced several innovations at the MOTOCYKL 2009 Fair. Above all, this concerns new makes of motocross tires with directional designs C-10 (rear wheels) and C-11 (front wheels) named “Speedy croc”, which are intended for recreational riding on a soft to medium-hard terrain. The designs are distinguished by ideal guidance and a very good grip in various riding modes, and are available in the classical as well as color make.

Another innovation is the Multi-Element Mouse – “MEM”. It is a lightweight elastomeric material replacing the classical inner tube. It has been developed especially for off-road races in motocross, enduro, and off-road rally.

The latest of the brand new products is the T-block system, which is a device replacing the tube inside the tire. The goal was to eliminate problems with flat tire. Sometimes it is more advantageous in the motocross races to have lower tire pressure than recommended for standard use on roads. However, lower pressure makes the tire and tube susceptible to various kinds of damage caused by impacts. During races the rides want to finish the race despite a defect, i.e. flat tire... We have cooperated with RUBENA in developing the design of this system.

On the first day of the fair a great number of well-known personalities of the motorcycling sport such as Petr Kuchař, Petr Pilát, Petr Bartoš, Radovan Jirku, and last but not least the regular Rally Dakar participant Ivo Kaštan, visited the MITAS Exposition. Petr Pilát’s and Ivo Kaštan’s bikes are to be seen at the MITAS a.s./CGS TYRES stand, in the Křižík Pavilion E, stand No. 64.
