Audits in MITAS Company
In both Mitas production plants Prague and Zlin the certificatication audit for quality management system and the certification audit for enviromental management were realized at the same time. The company thus became a member of the elite group of ISO 14001 holders.
This audit was the most demanding ever in the history of the company; a total of 6 auditors checked the company’s processes over a 5-day period. Mitas’ success was by the auditors’ failure to find any irregularities, potential deviations and situations, which could lead to irregularities of deviations either in the company’s quality management or environmental management.
Mitas expects to extend ISO 14001 certification to include the Agro Business Unit in the middle of 2005.
