Prague Steps: Škarnitzl Captured the Gold and a Diamond

The jubilee twentieth year of the exhibition race Prague Steps was won by Jan Škarnitzl, who handled the strongest competition in the history of the race, including three Olympics winners. The twenty-six year old biker of the Sram Rubena Trek stable dictated the tempo of the race from the very beginning. In the final round, Rudi Van Houts of the Netherlands created a lead, but Jan Škarnitzl, on Rubena Zefyros Top Design Grey Line tires, came in with a rocket finish and won. Just like last year, he also rode to take the diamond bonus, a prize of 50 thousand crowns for victory in one of the circuits.
