Jan Nesvadba Takes Silver and Bronze
On 7 – 14 July, Jelenia Góra became the "capital of Poland" thanks to the 5th World University Cycling Championships. 152 university riders from 21 countries created a sports spectacle that was the focus of media attention from around the world.
Rubena, which was the main partner of this, the largest university cycling event, presented its tyres in action. Rubena’s colours were carried by Tomáš Danačík and Jan Nesvadba. Jan Nesvadba, on Rubena Scylla Grey line TD 29 x 2.25 tyres, claimed the silver and bronze medal and helped the Czech Republic to third place in the overall national rankings (1. Poland, 2. Switzerland, 3. Czech Republic).
