Silicone products

Silicone rubbers were developed for military use in USA during World War Two. Among the most distinctive special features of silicone-rubber products rank their harmlessness to health, better high-temperature resistance in comparison with common rubbers, high ageing resistance, weather-proofness and UV resistance. These rubbers have good electrical insulating properties and can be easily glued. The products can have any colour since the base colour is milky white or transparent. The products of silicone rubber resist temperatures within the range from minus 50 °C to plus 180 °C, in special cases from minus 70 °C to plus 250 °C. Their usability in contact with oils is limited to those oils with the aniline point higher than 100. They can be largely used in medicine and health care, in the food, automobile, aircraft and building industries.
